More North is the brainchild of Lena Biorck Kaplan, Monika Heimbold and Linda Nordberg all of whom serve together as trustees of the American-Scandinavian Foundation.

In 2007 the three principals opened up a Gallery in New York's Tribeca showcasing Fine Art and Design items all from the Nordic countries something that was greatly appreciated and welcomed in the neighbourhood. Due to the economical climate the Gallery closed its doors in end 2009.

In early 2010 it was decided between the three owners that they would support young talent and new possibilities. More North went online, managed by Louise Lund. The goal is to keep the friendly personal service, but let the customers browse around the site whenever they have time. You can still buy pieces from Artek, Fritz Hansen, Knoll, Olby and Asplund through us. We still seek to offer the best and our personal favorites from the The Nordic countries We are here to help and listen, so we would love to hear feedback from you.

More North is a constant work in progress. Carrying full range lines from Knoll and Fritz Hansen, in combination with hand picked smaller modern brands to enhance world renowned pieces like the Egg and Womb chair, what started as a Scandinavian Fine Art and Design Gallery has now been reimagined as a company with a targeted focus on furniture and design items. With a background and firm roots in fashion, Manager Louise Lund brings her eye for beauty and passion for art to her work at More North. Growing up in Sweden, Lund is well versed in Scandinavian design language, and is passionate about helping clients explore the juxtaposition of different techniques and style combinations available to them.

More North is happy to work with private clients as well as interior decorators and architects, and offer scouting services of vintage designs per request. Our work spans both small and large scale projects, and we are open to exploring interesting and challenging customer requests.
